Kathryn Hahn was born on 23 July 1974 in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. She grew up in Cleveland Heights in Ohio. She attained a Bachelor’s Degree in theatre from the Northwestern University. She moved on to develop her skills in acting and she enrolled in the school of drama at Yale. She has married Ethan Sandler, and they have a son. She acted in plays like ‘Cabaret‘ ‘Ten Unknown‘& ‘The Misanthrope’. She also appeared in ‘Hickory Hideout’, which was a children’s program that aired in Cleveland, Ohio.
She met Tim Kring, the creator/producer, through a NBC casting director, whom she had met during a theatre festival. Tim Kring created a role for her in ‘Crossing Jordan’. She thus ended playing the role of “Lily” in the series. She has also appeared in ‘How to Loose a Guy in 10 Days‘, ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy’, ‘A Lot Like Love’, ‘Win A Date With Tad Hamilton!‘, ‘The Last Mimzy‘, ‘The Holiday’, ‘Step Brothers’ and ‘Revolutionary Road‘.
She won the Ensemble Performance Award for ‘Revolutionary Road‘ at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in 2009.
Role in Crossing Jordan
Kathryn Hahn is playing “Lily Libowski” in ‘Crossing Jordan’ tv show. She is a grief counselor at the medical examiner’s office. She was romantically involved with “Garret”, but “Garret” went back to his ex-wife for a short period, which resulted in the end of his romance with “Lily”. However, they remained friends afterwards. On the other hand, “Bug” (Mahesh) is still interested in “Lily”. The matter becomes more complicated when Detective Matt Seely also tries to win her over. Soon she comes to know that her mother died in a car accident. “Bug” suspected that “Lily” might be an adopted child, because her blood group did not match with that of her deceased mother. Garret disclosed that the woman was not actually Lily’s mother but her aunt. After this incident, she accepted the proposal of her boyfriend, Jeffery, but she cancelled her marriage with him later on, as she realized her feelings towards “Bug”. The situation became even more complex when she discovered that she was pregnant with Jeffery’s baby. At this point “Bug” not only accepted her pregnancy but he insisted her to move in with him. She accepted the proposal and moved in with “Bug”.
