Jill Hennessy, a Canadian actress, took birth in Edmonton, Alberta in the family of John Hennessey and Maxine. Her father was a meat salesman. Her mother left their family in 1982 so Jill was partially raised by her paternal grandmother, Eleanor. She has two siblings, a younger brother, John Hennessy Jr. and an identical twin sister Jacqueline. Her sister is a magazine writer and TV show host in Canada. She is of Irish, French, Swedish and Italian descent on her parental side and has Ukrainian and Austrian ancestry on her mother’s side. Jill Hennessy attended Grand River Collegiate Institute in Ontario.
In 1988, Jill Hennessy made an appearance on Dead Ringers along with her sister. During 1993-1996, she appeared as ADA Claire Kincaid on ‘Law & Order’ and that performance is among the well known performances throughout her acting career. In 1990, she made appearance on Broadway in the musical ‘Buddy- the Buddy Holly Story’. On ‘Crossing Jordan’, Jill portrayed the character of Jordan Cavanaugh. In 1999, she was seen playing Lisa on ‘Chutney Popcorn’ and in the following year, she wrote, produced and co-directed an independent movie ‘The Acting Class’. In 2001, she was seen portraying the character of Jackie Kennedy on ‘Jackie, Ethel, Joan: The Women of Camelot’. In 2003, she made a cameo appearance on ‘Abby Singer’. In 2007, Jill was seen portraying the character of Tim Allen’s wife in ‘Wild Hogs’. She received a star on ‘Canada’s Walk of Fame’ on June 9, 2007.
Jill Hennessy speaks English, Italian, French, Spanish and German etc. In 2000, she married Paolo Mastropietro, a former bartender and sometime actor. She likes to ride motorcycles with her husband. The couple has two sons, Marco and Gainni, born on September 17, 2003 and November 21, 2007 respectively.
